A graet night out with friends

We planned a stag party at this place some time back on a wednesday which is supposed to be ladies night here at boombox cafe . Thanks to a friend who pulled of a package deal from the manager. We entered at around 8 30 and found the first floor very less occupied. We were guided to the second floor to our reserved section.

The ambience is excellent , some portions though look a little dim, but soothing . The house DJ plays some excellent music . The atmosphere is perfect. There is not a corner in the entire outlet which is not without a TV view as LCD TVs are all around the place . I ordered a cosmopolitan which was very well made and the starters were initiated. Who cares about the food when you are in a group of 17 stags with unlimited booze and awesome music . But still food was very good , chicken malai tikka was soft and juicy, The seekh kebab were nice and spicy , the pizza was cheezy and crispy . Main course mostly consisted of north indian , Dal makhani and veg biryani were fantastic , Did not relish the butter chicken and the mutton rogan josh much though . The red sauce pasta was also very good .

Not to forget that the service was par excellent. Its not easy to handle such a big stag group . But we all left pretty satisfied without any complaints.

Overall a great time with friends with great music and drinks with good food . A memorable and fun filled evening at Boombox cafe

sheesha lounge

Boombox Cafe is a young people's hangout place - basically a sheesha lounge where you can chill out with friends. There are lots of nooks and corners in this double storey restaurant, including a second-floor lounge with sunlight streaming in and a terrace outside. Menu is also different. Ordered chicken nachos, and grilled fish. Service took forever but the food was yummm! Might go there again despite the fact that the place isn't as lively anymore. Nachos salsa, Crispy honey chilli potato, Murg Malai tikka, Penne Arabiata and Virgin Mojito. The food was really good and the waiters were also courteous. The only thing I personally did not like was the loud music which becomes a real turn off when you try to have a conversation. Rest all is good.

meant for high school kids sadly

I like the concept it tried to adopt but the prices made me look away. That and the crowd which consists of kids in their mid teenage years smoking hookahs and being extremely loud. The music is just SAD.Its as if they left in a cd and forgot about it.The music is extremely old and corny.the ambience feels that of a fish market minus the smell and you will feel suffocated. The food is decent but for that price i can go somewhere else and not feel i overpaid for the quality of food. One good thing is the buzzer which you use to call the waiters but thats the only good thing.the waiters are rude and cant talk and will leave you annoyed. Not the feeling you want when you want to relax and hang with your friends

Best Bar & Restaurant in Khan Market

My wife and I happened to stumble upon this place while we were in Khan Market. We usually have a problem finding a place where both of us like the food, so it was nice to find one which has a really good variety in terms of cuisines. The food was quite good, the quantity was more than ample, and the check didn't burn a hole in my wallet. The ambience was quite good and they had a screen pulled down for a game. Not much more a guy can ask for, except they could do with having all the beer brands on the menu actually available.

Great Hang Out Place

I visited Boombox with my cousins in the evening to kill some time and have Hookah! The moment we stepped inside the cafe, all I could hear was loud music. To be honest, I found the ambiance a bit suffocating. Cmon you need some air to breathe. But, as per my observation, everyone else except me were enjoying the place. We wanted to sit at rooftop but we were told that seats are full. Despite several requests to waiter and manager, these people didn't allow us to sit at rooftop. We ordered Fish and a few cocktails and yes a Hookah also. They were pretty slow in bringing the order and left us annoyed at the end.

what else you need:)

Ambiance: The place is huge compared with other Khan establishments. I like the deck during winter times. The lower floor is slightly dark and dingy but good otherwise. Pop modern music is always playing in the background which may or may not be to your liking. Service: Service is good and the waiters make an effort to help you out with the order. They are also not very intrusive. Food: Food is just mediocre by other standards. While it is a good place to hang out for a sheesha/beer/rum, the cocktails are really not worth it. The choice of food is global but neither is it enough on variety or taste. Portion sizes are average. I have tried most of their pizzas and non-veg starters and they really don't wow you. Sandwiches and crepes are a big let down so avoid them. Quality of products is also not exceptional since I noted normal Amul mozzarella cheese is used, I guess. Price: Prices are a bit steep in my opinion both for drinks and food. Not a good value-for-money but the mark up is due to the location and ambiance.

can have a look.....

At first sight, Boombox looks unpretentious. The décor is gothic in an approachable way; the music - a nice blend of house to hip hop to grunge. Brick exposed walls with painted ghettoesque shutters, a very Bronx-Brooklyn kind of feel. Plenty of couch and booth seating with a cute terrace and art work displayed on the walls for sale. The dress code ranged from jeans to dresses; polos to hoodies. But, mature enough not to make you feel like you're partying with a bunch of Bieber-fever havers. The Watermelon Martini, Margarita, LIIT are no fuss and great. Straight drinks like beer, whiskey etc are well priced, flavoured tequila shots all well made. Now for the good news, they have happy hours till 9pm daily and bottle service is a big plus here. With a menu inspired from street food around the world, it boasts of dishes like Krapao from Thailand, melt in the mouth dimsums served with awesome dips, Iranian Chelo Kebab (the copper chimney version better). Boombox is a partnership venture between restaurateur Priyank Sakhuja, model-actor Zulfi Syed and actor Aditya Panscholi, which recently premiered the Salman Khan - Kareena Kapoor starrer "Bodyguard".

Over all a try in town...
