Recommended for desserts & coffee

LOCATION -The Rolling Pin is situated opposite Palladium Mall Lower parel .

AMBIANCE - High ceiling makes this place looks spacious . It has an open kitchen concept which is a rare sight in Mumbai . They have a vast pastry section along with a bread section right at the entry . The seating arrangement is divided in to 3 ? high table & chairs for larges groups , regular wooden chairs & tables for small groups & the couch .They have used stuffed gunny bags as props above their open kitchen which is quite innovative & definitely catches your eye .

DRINKS- We ordered the belgian chocolate truffle thick shake ? which was dark , thick , coarse & a little extra sweet served in a steel jar . Next we ordered the dark roast ice blended coffee which was served in a mason jar which was lite , smooth , milky & subtle flavoured . Both were enjoyed by us .

SERVICE -The staff is vernacular they find it difficult to explain the drinks / dishes in the menu ; do not expect any recommendation from them . Order takes 20-30 mins to reach your table .The bill came wrapped on a rolling pin which was very innovative matching to the name of the resto.

OVERALL -OVER PRICED .This place is ideal when you have finished your shopping at the crowded mall & need some coffee in a quiet place to chill with friends .

The Rolling Pin Review

CUISINE: Bakery, Desserts, Cafe.
BITES AND BOOZE: If there exists a parallel universe layered with all things sweet and satisfying, The Rolling Pin may just be the portal to it. With messages like ‘The Secret Ingredient is Always Cheese’, ‘Life Happens Chocolate Helps’ and ‘Bake The World a Better Place’ adoring the walls, this cafe definitely aims to please all the dessert and chocolate lovers who walk in through the door. Apart from the delectable cookies and pastries, this all-vegetarian cafe offers some appetizing dishes such as the Slider Platter, Potato Mania, and the house popular Sizzlers which was a clear crowd favourite. You are left spoilt for choice with the assortment of cupcakes and pastries whether you prefer the luscious fresh fruits delight or the sinful and creamy Ferrero Rocher chocolate pastries that set your palate craving for more.
FAB OR DRAB: The Rolling Pin is a delightful little place that you can walk in anytime you feel like a mid-day snack or would happily choose to indulge in chocolate for your soul. The ambience is easy to get with, although the music in the place leans more towards an energetic dance lounge than the traditional sunshine-happy playlists of most quaint cafes.

Good ambience, Okay food, Sad company policy with regards to Service.

Wok didn't have good taste.
Sizzler was completely burnt. When confronted, said that's the way they serve. Didn't serve the food, yet charged Service charge and Service tax. So basically they won't serve food and will charge you for that. Not that great experience, not at all.

Bad Experience

Dear Team,

I visited the Rolling Pin today to have lunch and reached around 1.20 pm, I had informed the waiter that I want my food to be served fast, wherein he said a yes.

Firstly, he took the order of the Thai salad and came after 10 minutes to say that it was not available, then half of the items were not available too.

So finally when he took my order, he served the same at 2.00 pm and guess what my order was coleslaw sandwich which he suggested as that was the quickest and mini burgers again which was quick too as they just had to fry two mini cutlets and serve it in an already ready cold bread, the breads were not even heated.

I had to leave my food halfway and could not eat as by then I was really late for office.

I would also be updating this on all the websites possible so that I can make people aware that how slow the service is provided and the staff has absolutely no knowledge.

This is my third bad experience at The Rolling Pin.

Desserts are awesome!

Lovely place to try all sorts of desserts-cakes, pastries, waffles, macaroons, and share with friends! I have had Whoopee Pie, Vanilla Profiterole, Oreo Mousse Log, Ferrero Rocher pastry, Nutella macaroon. This is the place where nobody should be counting calories and it is heaven for dessert lovers. Amazing flavors and best desserts at quite friendly prices! If you have a sweet tooth,go here,it is opposite high street phoenix!
